Careers Advice and Guidance

If you are looking for a new job, thinking about changing career, or just wondering what your next steps look like, our specialist careers and learning advice team can help. Our support includes breaking down barriers such as health, motivation or an outdated CV, helping you overcome some of your challenges, understand your skills, build your confidence and move closer to your goals. We can also connect you to relevant services e.g. benefits and wellbeing services.

Support is delivered face to face at West Offices and in community venues, and we can offer virtual appointments if necessary.

If you’re looking for work, a new job or improving your skills for a career change, our Careers & Learning Adviser can talk you through your options, so you can feel more confident about your next steps. These 1:1 Careers & Learning Advice sessions are available to book online using the link further below or by contacting York Learning on 01904 554277.

If you would like advice on updating your CV or you are looking for help to prepare for job interviews, you are welcome to book a free place on our CV & Interview Skills clinics. These take place once a month at West Offices. Details and booking link can be found further below.
