If English isn’t your native language and you need to work on grammar, language development, reading or writing, please apply for an ESOL assessment. We have English for Speakers of Other Languages classes at all levels from Pre-Entry up to Level 1. After this, you will be ready to join our mainstream Functional Skills and GCSE courses.

We are currently hosting drop-in sessions at York City Church, The Citadel, Gillygate, YO31 7EA
From 12:30 – 2:30pm on Thursdays, on the following dates: 21st April 2022; 5th and 19th May 2022; 2nd, 16th and 30th June 2022, 14th and 28th July 2022
From 9:30 – 11:30am on Fridays from the 6th May 2022.

English for Speakers of Other Languages courses are part funded if you are eligible for the course, or free if you are earning less than £18,525 per year.
The amount you will need to pay for the course depends on the level you are studying at.
Pre-Entry – £120
Entry Level 1 – £120
Entry Level 2 – £400
Entry Level 3 – £500
Level 1 – £500
